In designing the rug, Ashley was very mindful in the color selection, choosing a dramatic charcoal grey and gorgeous golden honey color to produce an artistic statement. Material

Known for her signature abstract patterns, artist and designer Ashley Childers created this wool and bamboo silk rug exclusively for William D Scott. The differing fibers culminate in a lovely combination of a matte finish from the wool and a high sheen from the silk filaments. These two luxury threads are known to be highly durable, both moisture repellant, mold-resistant, and durable make these the ideal textile for layering above carpet or hard surfaces.

Inspiration

As an artist, Ashley derives so much of her inspiration from her muse, the natural beauty of Arkansas. The original influence for the Tristan Rug came from a personal piece of art created in Ashley’s home studio. This area rug captures her exquisite designs and is sure to make a statement in any room in your home.

Location

The Tristan Rug brings its bold geometry and authentic beauty to a variety of room styles, from modern organic to global to mid-century modern. With such a plush pile, the textile feels lush underfoot and is a perfect way to soften hard floors. Ashley plans to pair two of these rugs together in her great room.
