At William D Scott (“WDS”), we take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our line and our commitment to customer service.

Returning Merchandise.

Please note that proof of purchase is required for a refund. Upon return, your item will be inspected. Exchanges, credits, and refunds will be issued for the purchase price only. Credits and refunds, if applicable, will be issued once the item is received by William D Scott. Any taxes charged will be refunded in accordance with applicable state and local laws. Shipping charges are non-refundable, with the exception of damaged or defective merchandise. Return shipping and re-stocking fees may apply. We offer a one-time per customer price adjustment when an original sales receipt or proof of purchase is presented within thirty (30) days of order delivery.

Should you need to return an item you ordered from us, please contact us at 214-956-0030 or 888-956-0030. One of our customer service representatives will determine whether to arrange return freight via mail or truck and provide you with instructions for the return. If your item is to be returned via mail, please pack your returned item securely. Retain your shipping receipt and the returned item’s original invoice or receipt for your records. William D Scott is not responsible for any items damaged or lost during the return shipping process.

Should you decide to cancel a return and keep the item after a refund was issued, we reserve the right to charge your credit card in the amount of the refund issued.

Any items returned due to damage or defect will be inspected for the same upon return to us. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to replace the returned item or refund the purchase price to you if we determine the item is damaged or defective. If we determine the returned item was damaged by the customer, no credit will be issued and the item will be returned to the customer.


We carefully inspect each item prior to shipment and also require your inspection and signature upon delivery. Should you discover a defect in your furniture, however, please contact us at 214-956-0030 or 888-956-0030 immediately. Furniture that is refused because it does not fit through an entryway will be subject to the WDS Shipping & Delivery Policy . We accept returns for non-custom furniture items within thirty (30) days and with proof of purchase.

Custom Orders.

When you place an order for a custom item(s) with us, your order is submitted for production immediately and is built to the specifications you provided to us. When your order is placed, you will be charged in advance the full amount of the purchase price of your custom item(s). The deposit for your custom item(s) will not be refunded if you choose to cancel your custom order item(s) prior to delivery.

After delivery, a return or exchange of custom item(s) due to any reason other than defect will not be accepted. If your custom item arrives with a defect, you must notify us of such defect consistent with the instructions in our Shipping & Delivery Policy

Sale & Clearance Items

Sale and clearance items are considered final-sale items and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded.

Cancelled Orders

If you cancel your order prior to shipping:

  • - Non-Custom Orders: You will not be charged a shipping fee.
  • - Custom Orders: You will be charged in advance the full amount of the purchase price of your custom item(s). You will not receive a refund of your payment if you choose to cancel an order for your custom item(s).
